Mal Hiley

Managing Director

Mal is a qualified civil engineer who has worked in the design and construction of maritime structures for almost 40 years. After working for the NSW Maritime Services Board for over 15 years, Mal was instrumental in the foundation of Waterway Constructions in 1993 and has been involved in all aspects of the business and its significant  growth since inception.

Stuart Stoker

Chief Financial Officer

Stuart graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce followed by a Masters of Business Administration from AGSM. Stuart is a CPA, a member of the Australian Society of Accountants and an Associate Member of the Australian Society of Accountants. Since joining Waterway in 2007, Stuart plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, in addition to financial management and reporting.

Stephen Mitchell

National Pre-Contracts Manager

Stephen is a qualified civil engineer who worked for Transfield and Multiplex Constructions before joining Waterway Constructions in 2000 providing construction solutions for projects including APLNG Materials Offloading Facility, Brisbane Ferry Terminal Reconstructions, Iron Cove Bridge Piers and the Sydney Wharf Upgrade Program. Stephen is now responsible for the tendering and bid management across the company.

Adam Knight

National Operations Manager

Adam is highly experienced in the design and construction of maritime structures. After graduating with First Class Honours in 1994, Adam spent 13 years in the consulting engineering industry both in Australia and the UK. Adam joined Waterway Constructions in 2007 as a Senior Project Manager before being appointed NSW Manager and Regional Manager. As National Operations Manager, Adam is responsible for the delivery of all the company's projects.

Peter Bramich

National HSEQ Manager

Peter earned his trade as a carpenter and after 10 years industry experience moved into safety management. Peter has also achieved diplomas in Management, OHS and Quality Auditing. Since joining Waterway in 2010, Peter plays a key role in the implementation of our safety, environmental and quality program and development of a positive safety culture across the company.

Alan Millar

National Engineering Manager

Alan graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours before working with Hyder Consulting in London for a number of years before joining Waterway. Alan is instrumental in developing design solutions and construction methodologies for our project works, and also the development of the company's plant capabilities.
