Claydon Reserve Restoration

This project involved the removal of an existing concrete faced revetment seawall with a sandstone rubble wall profiled to provide intertidal saltmarsh pans. The design is a benchmark in environmental innovation.

The works included:

  • Removal of 225 lined meters of concrete revetment wall.
  • Reuse of concrete rubble as a basecourse for the new sandstone rubble wall.
  • Construction of 225 lined meter sandstone rubble wall profiled to include saltmarsh pans.
  • Reconstruction of stormwater line and outlet.
  • Construction of timber viewing
