Waterway Constructions has undertaken a number of underwater pipeline installation projects which have demanded a high degree of precision.

Yarra River Sewer Crossing

Completed: February 2011

The project consisted of replacing the Melbourne Main Sewer, from Port Melbourne to Docklands. The river crossing was installed inside a wet cofferdam in three stages to minimise disruption to river traffic. The pipe was installed underwater in 5m, 10m and 20m sections. Sheet pile cofferdams were installed at each end to allow access shafts to be constructed.

Gibson Island Waste Outfall, Murrarie

Installation of pile supported outfall pipe and outfall structure including rock protection.

Avon Dam

Installation of a 1.75m diameter underwater pipeline 1.8km long and supported on piled supports up to 20m below water.
