Balmain Shipyard is the fleet base for Sydney Ferries and has very limited site access. It was essential that ferry operations were maintained throughout the works.
The work involved the structural refurbishment of Jetties 1 & 2 including timber substructure timber piles and decking together with the construction of a new concrete hardstand on steel tube piles.
The work also included the upgrade of services below Jetties 1, 2 & 3.
