Waterway Constructions has extensive experience in the restoration of heritage structures including both timber wharves and wharf related heritage buildings including wharf sheds and bond stores. This work requires traditional heavy timber construction skills required to restore and/or reproduce the heritage detailing together with a sound understanding of the structural capacity of the existing structure.

Wharf 2/3 Walsh Bay was refurbished as a part of the rejuvenation of the Walsh Bay precinct and involved the repair and rectification of both the substructure and superstructure.

Walsh Bay Wharf 8/9 Restoration

Wharf 8/9 Walsh Bay was restored and adapted for reuse as commercial offices. The wharf was re-supported on new piles and also included replacement of deteriorated structural timbers
