Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf

Renovation of the structural timber works to the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf, a 400m long x 60m wide wharf structure and building. Our works also involved the construction of a new boardwalk and marina.

The works included:

  • construction of a 3000sqm timber boardwalk supported on steel piles and steel beams
  • repairs to the timber trusses and storey posts inside the Finger Wharf building in-cluding reconstruction of the SE corner. Timber columns supporting the building up to 18m long were replaced
  • replacement of roof lanterns and trusses
  • installation of steel piling to the Marina
  • a pile testing program to assess the condition and capacity of the existing timber piles

The works were performed in a confined site to a tight time schedule.
